I tried Patron twice before settling on a rating. I noticed some earthy note, but mostly the agave character was faint. The balance felt off from start to finish.

This tequila was part of dinner with friends. There was enough dry finish to keep me interested, even though the agave character was faint. Still a good pick and one I'd have again.

This one was part of a casual tasting. I couldn't get past the fact that the finish felt hot. On top of that, the agave character was faint. I left most of the pour unfinished.
