This one made more sense in a margarita. From the first sip, the sweetness felt artificial; the finish was no better because the agave character was faint. I left most of the pour unfinished.

The first thing I noticed with this tequila was the aroma. The balance between citrus edge and peppery finish was what won me over. Easy recommendation for someone who enjoys this style.

Codigo made more sense with lime. The cooked-agave character worked well, especially with lime; still, it came across one-dimensional. I'd order it again in the right mood.

citrusy - earthy
