I wasn't sure what to expect from the bottle, but I gave it a fair try. I could appreciate the clear juniper, though it came across too perfumed. Some good points, though the balance didn't fully work for me.

The main issue was that it lost its character with tonic, and the rest never recovered because the juniper dominated everything. I left most of the pour unfinished.

I tried Caorunn Scottish Gin twice before settling on a rating. The soft spice worked well, especially in a dry cocktail; still, it came across too perfumed. Still a good pick and one I'd have again.

citrusy - fresh - botanical
