We tried the bottle during dinner with friends. It opened with malted sweetness, then moved into soft fruit without losing balance. This one earned a place on my repeat list.

Picked up Bowmore for a change. The start was better than the finish: malted sweetness first, then the smoke covered everything else. Some good points, though the balance didn't fully work for me.

Had this whisky with dark chocolate. The balance between warm oak and rounded mouthfeel was what won me over. I'd happily choose it again.
