The finish was the deciding point for me with Akashi. There were flashes of dry, tidy finish, but the smoke covered everything else. Fine for a casual serve, less convincing on its own.

Opened Akashi alongside barbecue. I liked the gentle spice. The only drawback was that it stayed sharp even after resting. I'd order it again in the right mood.
