We tried this rum during a quiet night at home. Unfortunately, the caramel note felt heavy, and it was too syrupy. I tried to make it work, but I wouldn't pick it again.

I paired this rum with spicy snacks, which helped show its character. The start was better than the finish: warm spice first, then the sweetness lingered too long. Some good points, though the balance didn't fully work for me.

Amrut Two Indies Rum started gently and changed toward the end. The aroma hinted at rounded sweetness; in the glass, the spice tasted artificial. It may suit a different palate, but it wasn't for me.

sweet - spiced
