The brown-sugar sweetness was enjoyable and soft caramel gave it enough character, although the alcohol felt sharp. A solid four rather than a five.

This one was easy to test in a basic mixed drink. The aroma hinted at warming finish; in the glass, it was too syrupy. I wanted to like it more than I did.

This rum had a few things going for it. Rounded sweetness showed up early, while warming finish carried through the finish. I'd happily choose it again.
