Opened Amrut for dinner with friends. The soft oak came through clearly, and molasses note kept the sip interesting. This one earned a place on my repeat list.

Had this rum with dessert. I liked the brown-sugar sweetness. The only drawback was that the sweetness lingered too long. Still a good pick and one I'd have again.

Amrut was easy to test in a basic mixed drink. It opened with tropical fruit and stayed pleasant, but the finish turned rough. I'd order it again in the right mood.

smooth - sweet - fruity
