Meukow smelled more expressive than I expected. The start was better than the finish: warming finish first, then the aroma promised more than the taste. Fine for a casual serve, less convincing on its own.

I paid more attention to the finish on the bottle. From the first sip, the finish was too short; the finish was no better because the oak felt rough. This simply didn't work for my taste.

I tried this one twice before settling on a rating. The balance between dried fruit and soft oak was what won me over. It was gone faster than I expected, which says enough.

smooth - warm
