Honestly, Jim Beam was different from what I expected. I liked the mellow sweetness. The only drawback was that the smoke covered everything else. Not perfect, but it worked well for me.

Opened the bottle for dinner with friends. The start was better than the finish: gentle spice first, then the alcohol stood out too much. Fine for a casual serve, less convincing on its own.

Had this whisky with roasted nuts. I liked the light smoke. The only drawback was that the finish turned bitter.
